Born with a natural talent for drawing, had you asked Ellen as a child what she would be when she grew up, she would have said, "An artist." Thirty years later, having pursued a career in instruction and presentation design (and occasional confectionery design), she decided to take a more serious look at how she could express the grace, beauty and humor in the world around her through painting. Within a year the need for a dedicated space for her work led her to Anfarm Studios in November 2006.

Ellen's paintings are inspired by her own photo references (including quite a few of her cat, Jack) that reflect places and moments in everyday life. She works in both oil and acrylic.
