Dwayne Poovey is an aspiring fly-fisherman, avid gardener and award winning photographer. In
addition to publishing both regionally and internationally, his work is in several private and corporate collections.
He is currently working on a book about tobacco barns and agrarian architecture, ink drawings of chaotic natural structures,
a typologogical morphology of automobile design (scheduled for September, 1999 debut), a photographic editorial series of the utterly
fucked world we live in, several architecture projects, heirloom gardening, an autobiographical cookbook, gourmet cooking,
a photographic series on the occupations of the people around him, and the ultimate martini recipe. Mr. Poovey holds a
Bachelor Degree in Architecture from North Carolina State University which he uses professionally from time to time to
support his varied and expensive hobbies.
He is a member of the Visual Arts Exchange of Wake County, the Cary Cultural Arts Association, the North Carolina Nature Artists Association,
and the Nature Conservancy.
