Matt Neel
I first got turned on to clay in 81 when i saw a beautiful blonde throwing pots on a wheel and i decided to take a pottery class. I didnt get the girl but i found a journey which would set the course for my life. i spent the next several years working in various production potteries and eventually earned a bfa at Arizona State in 95. Since earning that degree i have expanded my work into multi media, exploring the relationships of various materials. In summer of 2003 i was given the opportunity to join "the farm". I find it a good thing to be back in a group studio as it is a melting pot of personalities and ideas.
